Playlist Sync Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Playlist Sync mobile application published by Kubgix Software (Android package com.kubilaygurler.playlistsync). It explains how Playlist Sync accesses, uses, stores, shares, transfers and protects personal data, including Google user data obtained through Google APIs.

Collected Data

Name, email, platform OAuth tokens and synchronization history may be stored locally on your device. The app may use third-party SDKs such as Google AdMob for advertising and performance measurement. These SDKs may process information such as device details, advertising identifiers and usage data. Crash reports may be sent to Firebase Crashlytics (account UUID and error details) unless you turn this off in Settings. Firebase may automatically include device model, OS version, app version/build, installation UUID, crash time and thread/stack information. IP address, email and user ID may be stored temporarily on the server to check for abusive use. If abusive use is detected, the user may be banned for a limited time.

Google user data accessed

If you connect YouTube, Playlist Sync accesses Google user data through the YouTube Data API using the youtube.readonly scope: YouTube channel metadata; playlist names and playlist items (video titles, video IDs and channel or artist names); and OAuth access and refresh tokens. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your Google account name and email to create or authenticate your Playlist Sync account.

How Playlist Sync uses Google user data

We use Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing playlist synchronization: listing your YouTube playlists, reading the songs in a playlist you select, and matching those songs on another music service you choose. Audio content is not streamed by Kubgix Software. Google user data is not used for advertising, selling to data brokers, providing to information resellers, determining credit-worthiness, lending, personalized or interest-based ads, creating unrelated databases, or training generalized AI or ML models.

Sharing, transfer, and disclosure of Google user data

We do not transfer or disclose your information to third parties for purposes other than the ones provided in this policy. Playlist Sync does not sell, rent or trade Google user data. We share, transfer or disclose Google user data only with: (1) Google, when we send OAuth tokens and API requests to the YouTube Data API so we can read the playlists you choose to sync; (2) the music platform you select as the destination (for example Spotify, Deezer, SoundCloud or Apple Music), and only the track title and artist name from your YouTube playlist items as search queries to find matching songs — we do not send YouTube OAuth tokens, Google credentials or channel identifiers to those platforms; and (3) legal authorities if required by law. We do not share Google user data obtained through Google APIs with Google AdMob, Firebase Crashlytics, advertising networks, data brokers or information resellers.

Data protection and security mechanisms for sensitive data

Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data. We use encryption to protect your information. All communication with Google APIs and other music platform APIs uses HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit. YouTube and Google OAuth tokens and other platform credentials are encrypted at rest on your device using the operating system secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain). We request only the youtube.readonly scope and do not store YouTube playlist or video content on Kubgix servers. Access to Google user data is limited to processing on your device to provide playlist sync; Kubgix personnel do not have access to your YouTube OAuth tokens. Tokens remain on the device until you disconnect YouTube, delete app data or close your account.

Purpose of Use

Data is used only to provide playlist synchronization, account-related features, rewards, usage limits and application stability. Audio content is not streamed by Kubgix Software.

Retention Period

Data stored on your device remains there until you remove it, sign out, uninstall the application, or request account deletion where applicable. Server-side records are retained only as long as needed to provide the relevant feature, comply with legal obligations, or maintain service integrity.

Third-Party Sharing

Communication may occur with the APIs of the music platforms you choose and with infrastructure providers used to operate the application. Personal data is not sold by Kubgix Software. Sharing, transfer and disclosure of Google user data is described in the dedicated section above.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, including under KVKK and GDPR, you may have rights to access, correct, restrict or delete your personal data. You can submit a request in the Playlist Sync app or by emailing info@kubgix.com.
